Mom and I took a stroll at Two Rivers Park in Faribault in between my two trials last Sunday. It was pretty warm out, in the seventies but the trails had some shade and the wind off the river and the trees provided shade. The park is where the Cannon and Straight Rivers converge.
To get to the walking path we took the old railroad bridge they made into a walking bridge. There are tons of dead trees in the river maybe from storms or flooding, we are not sure.
We didn’t walk too far as it was warm and I still had a trial to do in the afternoon. Some parts of where we went were in the woods. Mom didn’t find any wood ticks on me but it is now that time of year. I have my tick protection on just in case.
Here’s another view of a part of the river. The dandelions are really in bloom now!
On the other side of the main road is the Woolen Mill. They have a dam with a waterfall. Usually when we are in Faribault for trials there is little or no water going over the small dam. This time there was quite a bit of water.
Mom took me up close so I could see the waterfall. It is nothing like when we saw Niagara Falls but it is fun to see.
The Two Rivers Park area really is a beautiful place and it is nice we can walk there when we are in Faribault for our trials. Hope you get out and enjoy some spring in your area!
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
