Today I wanted to look back and reflect on my first two birthday celebrations. Since I am only turning three, there are not a lot of past celebrations…yet!
My first birthday was the biggest deal and the best party because all four of us were celebrating together. Mom bought me a special party hat with a one on it and I got special cookies with my name on them and my age. We were set to celebrate large.
This photo is one I cherish as it was such a good day with us all. Everyone came to celebrate my day and it means a lot to me. I was so happy, I started singing by myself. Mom even hung a banner on the wall.
All of us loved the cookies, the only issue is that they were gone way too fast, except for Madison who always took her time eating at our parties. I decided to act silly. If a guy is only one, I think it is allowed. Could it be that I was too excited to start eating my cookie? No idea.
Turning two was odd because Madison could not celebrate with us. She had bloat and nearly died just nine days before. The vet had her on a strict diet with no craziness. Nevertheless, the three of us celebrated because I promised Madison the two of us would have our own party when she was up to it.
Last year I chose snowman cake for my birthday treat and it sure looked good. Mom also got me my own custom birthday hat so all of us would have our own hats going forward.
The three of us behaved like animals. We never understand why that is a surprise for our mom, but it always is. How could be possibly use manners when such tasty cake is on our plates?
As promised, a couple weeks later Madison was feeling better and her restrictions were lifted. I had Mom save a piece of my cake for us to split for my second party. We decorated and got ready for our special party of two. I could hardly wait to dig in as you can tell from my tongue.
Madison and I finally got the word we could eat and eat I did. I wolfed my piece down and Madison used her manners as always. Boy did I want to have her crumbs, but I refrained from stealing them.
That’s a wrap of my birthday celebrations so far. Let’s hope the one tomorrow is a blast and the treats I chose are to drool for! I’m dreaming of a wonderful day of turning three!
