We decided to become carolers this Christmas Eve Day. What does a hound do all day waiting to put out the cookies for Santa and for bedtime? Our family is a bit creative, so we decided to put together a hound version of a favorite Christmas carol. We all love to sing, especially Nelson, with his big, deep, loud voice.
It was decided that we would sing the Twelve Days of Christmas and each of us would get four days. We brainstormed for a time about what we all love and love to do and came up with our own version pretty quickly. Can you hear us howling our tunes? Of course, we sang in order from youngest to oldest as I wanted the finale part. I think we make a fine set of carolers, donât you?
We even have a nice readable copy of our new and improved lyrics in case you and/or your pup(s) would like to howl along. Not bad for our first attempt at being musicians. Maybe a GBGV band is in our future, or not?
Today I will also be in charge of getting the snacks out for Santa and his team. Nelson canât be trusted with snacks, and Olivia wasnât interested in helping out. I have to dig out our plate and cup and another package of the Reindeer Treats.
Santa loves cookies so I am putting more than enough for him on the plate. They, not sure who âtheyâ are, but they say use odd numbers as they are more interesting to the eye. I decided on five. We would not want him to be hungry while he is working tonight! Iâll put some milk in his mug too for Santa to wash down the cookies properly.
Mom wonât be allowed to turn the fireplace on tonight, but it isnât going to be all that cold. No one will freeze as we also have the furnace running. I will put everything right here so Santa canât miss it when he stops in to deliver our good doggy gifts.
My GBGV Life is happy, so weâre joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
